My weight fluctuates rapidly. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to spell fluctuate.

I try to make money in Los Angeles.

Kiss me. My herpe is gone.

The homies.
This picture couldn’t sum up more perfectly what life was like for me three and a half years ago. Josh in the spotlight while Angelo makes some obscure reference to a Steven Soderbergh film and I crack up. Comedy. Open mics. Driving from spot to spot making sure you get on the list and your friends do too, so you can all roll out somewhere else together and ride with the one person that has a car.
To say I’m going to miss Angelo would be a GIGANTIC understatement. You find your pals in this industry, and then you find family. That’s what Angelo was to me, and so many other people. We rode together. Lived together sometimes. Ate together. Called and texted always checking on the other. Always said I love you. It was important to him and to me.
Now I’m crying, drinking tea, and wondering in what reality I’m in that I’m not gonna talk to him anymore. No more random picture texts. No more jokes about selling merch for bigger comics. I guess what I’m saying is a lot less laughter.
I realize it’s late and I’m being sappy, but Angelo will always hold a place in my heart as my friend, some of my biggest competition, and family. No one made me laugh the specific way he did, or ever will.
This picture is a tribute to him and Josh. People I’ve shared more in four years with than many have in a lifetime. If nothing else, we always have this.
See you soon, brother. Love you.

P.S.-This photo was taken by Aristotle Athiras. This was the second night I ever hung out with him. Good dude.

Very sad

I will excitedly pet any pit-bull, unless it is being walked by a black person. Then, I am terrified. #SituationalRacism

What if you’re on an elevator with Michael Jordan, Eddie Murphy, and a pitbull? Then what?

At DFW airport

Lady 1: My neighbor told me that the press is lying to us, that the government is keeping the truth about world conflict from the headlines to appease us and keep us from rioting in the streets.

Lady 2: Your neighbor sounds like a dumbass that can't use the Internet.

Your choice on the snarky comment (fair warning, they’re all pretty mediocre):
- When it comes to ice cream bars, I always use Magnum’s.
- I wish my penis was the same size as my appetite.
- This was way bigger than the white chocolate bars.
- Hey, something about black dicks and sex.

Me: I always say I'll bring less crap.

Guy in line: And I always end up behind someone like you.

Me: I get that you saw the movie, but that doesn't make you George Clooney...

TSA guy: oooohhhh BURN son!

One day I will invent a trash truck that doesn’t sound like a dinosaur being thrown into a jet engine. Everyone will love me.

NOVEMBER IS PANCREATIC CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Through the month of November, I will donate 5¢ for every new follower I get to my Twitter profile - www.twitter.com/JoshMcDermitt
My brother-in-law, Craig, died several years ago from pancreatic cancer. While he and my sister were battling this vicious disease, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network stepped up and helped them in so many ways with no cost patient support. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a non-profit that funds research, provides patient support, conducts community outreach and advocates for increased federal research funding for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is who I am donating to.
Pan Can is the 4th leading cause of cancer death in the world. We recently lost Steve Jobs to it and also Patrick Swayze. As I’m starting this campaign, I am hearing from many people who have family members and friends who are battling it as well - showing me the far reach of this disease.
Many of you follow me here - all I’m asking is you help spread the word and also follow me over on Twitter. It won’t cost you a thing.
Thanks,
Josh McDermitt

kings of convenience show was fantastic, but Erlend clearly stole the night. and so to honor his strange and hilarious Norwegian ways, here’s a diddy from his side project.

So sad I missed this. Erlend Øye is one of my all-time favorites. If you were ever digging on a song and thought, “man, this is great! who is this…?” Erlend Øye probably had something to do with it.
